Who Has An 850 Credit Score And How Do You Get One?

Credit scores, on the scale assigned by FICO, range from 300 to 850. Who has an 850 credit score and what canyou do to get one? Less than 1 percent of the population has a credit score above 800, so it’s very unlikely you will have an 850 credit score. However, if your credit score is above 720, you will probably still receive the best rates. I am happy to say I have just rec’d an 850 score. I got the letter from the credit reporting agency and it stated that I have a score higher than 100% of the population. That seemed like an awkward statement. Not long after I rec’d an approved diamond preferred card for no annual fee and concierge service and all kinds of benefits. The card is black and is lightweight and looks like a weird carbon fiber material. So, if anyone wants to know if a person can get an 850, the answer is yes.

@mcdadypete I encourage you to pay off your mortgage & cut up the cards for good. I like a quote Ramsey often repeats: “Children do what feels good. Adults devise a plan & follow it”…..To me, having the “convenience” of a CC is “doing what feels good”..I haven’t had ANY “plastic” in many yrs, & it has only helped me to save $182,000 in cash which I’m planning to use to purchase just the “right house”. Dave says people w/ a score of 0 DO get approved for loans, but you can’t be 300-600ish.

@waiting4guffman I realy enjoy Dave Ramsey BUT in the real world money is like a game. Last time I ckecked I had an 816. I have no debt But my house and I use one credit card for everything then pay it off in full every month. Every six months I take out the other 8 cards and put about $2 on them pay them off and put them a way. It works. So now we are considering a refinance on the house for a lower rate . Thank you credit score. “Im just saying”.

Well, I had an 829 three years ago. Then Dave Ramsey opened my eyes. Now, I am at ZERO, which is the BEST score one can have. “If you’re north of 720….you’ll get the best rates….” That may be true, but it’s all a fool’s game. You’re simply trying to borrow money now, so you can borrow money later, so you can stay in sustained debt forever? Right? Going into any kind of debt is a CHOICE, and a BAD one.

if i had a reward card with a 15k limit then staying under 30% every month should be fine. but right now i can easily go over the 30% and even max it out every month but still pay the full balance but by doing so will hurt my credit. its easy to say just request a higher credit limit but that takes time to build up with a new CC. how can i keep using my reward card to the fullest without hurting my credit?

You get an 850 credit score by borrowing all you can, paying a ton of money to the banks, and living well over your means. You’re heading for a financial crisis!
